The very first IMAX film (Tiger Child, Donald Britain, 1970) was screened inside the Fuji Pavilion at Expo ’70 in Osaka, Japan. Designed by engineer Mamoru Kawaguchi and architect Yutaka Murata, the Pavilion features sixteen inflatable tubes on a base of fifty metres in diameter.
