The OMNIMAX cinema at the Centro Cultural Tijuana was designed by architects Pedro Ramirez Vazques and Manuel Rossen Morrison and opened in 1982. The cinema features a 360 degree projector and the first filmed screen at “La Bola” was El pueblo del sol (People of the Sun) (1983), which was commissioned specifically for this cinema.
