La Géode opened in 1985 and is located at La Cité des Science and de l’Industrie. The theatre was designed by architects Adrien Fainsilber and Gerard Chamayou. Its inaugural film – L’Eau and Les Hommes (Pierre Willemin, 1985) – is the first French IMAX film.
